>La Boite du Chef is a ready-to-eat Gourmet Meal Delivery Service. Our Gourmet Meals are shipped to your home or office in a large insulated box called a Chefs Box. Our Weekly Chefs Boxes come with: 1 Appetizer, 5 Entrées, and a Dessert. With La Boite du Chef, you can also create your own Chefs Box by selecting up to 9 items from our a La Carte Menu. Select from a wide range of soups, salads, appetizers, entrées, side dishes and desserts. Or, you could opt for one of our Signature Collection Chefs Boxes! Here at La Boite du Chef, we are continually creating new dishes and recipes to provide you with an exciting variety of healthy lunches, dinners, snacks and more, for a regular work week, a special occasion, or both! Our Weekly & Signature Collection Chefs Boxes menus are pre-set. As such, changes cannot be made. However, you can create your own Chefs Box a La Carte and buy only the Gourmet meals that you like, or want to try!

Our Chef Boxes serve 1-12 people, or a whole family. Each Gourmet Meal, however, has been portioned for 2 people to enjoy. When placing your order, you can choose how many Chefs Boxes you would like, depending on the number of people you will be serving.

Yes! We offer Lunch Chefs Boxes and Mystery Chefs Boxes for individuals.


You also have the option to divide each portion into several meals and store them in the refrigerator or freezer for up to 10 days. Our dishes are cooked sous-vide, meaning vacuum-sealed, and often pasteurized to provide you with maximum freshness and eliminate risks of spoilage or cross-contamination. The sous-vide method is the very that we use in our restaurant, Europea by Jerome Ferrer.

No, we do not require you to sign-up for our Weekly Chefs Box Subscription. You may make a purchase from anywhere, anytime, and with no minimum order. That being said, we would encourage you to sign-up for our newsletters so that you can receive exclusive offers and discounts that are reserved for newsletter recipients only. It is free to sign-up and you can cancel anytime. See you soon!

A wide variety of ready-to-eat Gourmet Meals come in our Chefs Boxes. Our Weekly Chefs Boxes include 5 Gourmet Meals for the week. Our Signature Chefs Box Collection includes a variety of Gourmet Meals. You can create your own Chefs Box a La Carte and select from our vast menu of culinary creations. Options range from hors d'oeuvres to desserts, and everything in between! From time to time we release Secret Chefs Boxes that are not published on our website. Eco-responsibility is one of our core values, and in everything we do, we consider the effect to Mother Earth. To do our part, we’ve decided to scrap the paper and save the trees. As such, the serving instructions for all of our Gourmet Meals can be found on our website. On our website, you’ll be able to find serving instructions, ingredients, allergies and even the Chef's recommendations—100% paper-free! It is of the utmost importance to us that our ready-to-eat dishes keep their freshness and that any risk of contamination is thwarted. To achieve this, we package our Gourmet Meals in vacuum-sealed bags and use pasteurized ingredients in many of our recipes. Reheating our ready-to-eat Gourmet Meals is simple, you can either reheat using the microwave, oven or stovetop. For best results, Chef Jerome Ferrer reheating on a baking tray for 10-15 minutes in the oven at 350°F. This method allows the flavours to fully re-develop for peak enjoyment! Bon Appetit !

Storing our ready-to-eat Gourmet Meals is easy! Our products should be stored in the refrigerator. You can also portion out your Chefs Box into several meals, which can also be refrigerated for up to 10 days. Some of our menu items can be frozen, see instructions. We use the same storage and work methods as in the finest restaurants. La Boite du Chef's Ready-to-eat Gourmet Meals can be refrigerated for up to 2-3 weeks, unopened. Our Gourmet Meals stay fresh for 6-18 months when stored in the freezer. Some of our Chefs Boxes contain fresh products such as Salads, Fruits and Vegetables, which we don't recommend freezing.

Since our Chefs Boxes are shipped in eco-friendly insolated containers, our vacuum-sealed ready-to-eat meals can keep for 24 to 48 hours. In some cases, we add ice packs and gel packs to maintain the right temperature. In all cases, our ready-to-eat meals are kept cool right up until you open your Chefs Box and place your items in the refrigerator at-home.

When it comes to selecting which farmers, ranchers, and providers we will work with, our process is rigorous and we leave no stone unturned. It should come as no surprise that La Boite du Chefs products are of impeccable quality and peak freshness. All of the foods that we source contain optimal nutritional qualities, including vitamins and minerals. That's the La Boite du Chef difference!

La Boite du Chef's Gourmet Meals are prepared in our industrial kitchen facility. The La Boite du Chef team is comprised of cooks, pastry chefs and bakers who have been trained following our rigorous demands quality and food safety standards. Each Gourmet Meal is lovingly-crafting each by our team of passionate professionals. Some of the products you'll find on our website are made by local artisans. We do this to promote their excellent products, and introduce these top-notch purveyors to our food-savvy customers. Bon Appetit !

Our Chefs Box menus can change without notice, due to supply issues—however, this is quite rare. Should such a situation arise, we will replace the missing items with similar products. In extraordinary situations, or when a provider of ours is faced with factors beyond their control that cause productions delays on their end, we can make changes to the Chefs Box menus, always keeping our customers satisfaction top-of-mind.

Yes, of course! All of our products have food allergy disclaimers that are clearly marked on the nutrition labels. Please, always check the nutrition label on your Chefs Box. All allergy indications are also listed our Website under the Weekly Chefs Box section. However, please note that all of our food products are prepared in our industrial kitchen facility, where there can be traces amounts of allergies, such as: milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy, and other allergies. If you have severe food allergies, we recommend that you do not order from The Chefs Box

Yes! Eco-responsibility is near and dear to our hearts and we are proud of the measures we have taken to ensure that our packaging and all of the materials we use are eco-friendly. Our delivery boxes are made from recycled cardboard, our vacuum-sealed bags are made from recycled plastic. The liquid ice packs that we use are biodegradable and non-toxic—and they can be kept and re-used for your own personal use. Additionally, to ensure that Boite du Chef continues to remain environmentally conscious, we do not overpack our products and we do not print our serving instructions and ingredients list on paper. Instead, we encourage our customers to visit our website to find all necessary information, including reheating instructions, for our complete catalogue of food items.

DELIVERY

Your Chefs Box will be delivered on the date that you selected before starting your purchase. ***In these difficult times, delays of one day, or more, may occur. Unfortunately, we may not be able to anticipate extraordinary circumstances such as these. However, we are dedicated to getting your order delivered on-time and our team is working around the clock. We are touched by your warm messages, thoughts and prayers. From the bottom of our hearts we would like to say Thanks!*** Orders are delivered throughout the day between 8am–8pm. While we do not provide an exact time of delivery, you can use the track your order feature on our website by entering the order number found on your order confirmation to check on the status of your delivery. In the event that your delivery is affected by inclement weather, or external factors out of our control, we will make sure that your order is delivered as soon as possible. Weekly Chefs Box: Your Weekly Chefs Box delivery will arrive before the start of the next week, generally on Thursday, Friday or Saturday of the week prior (Monday in rare circumstances). For example, if you ordered the Week #7 Chef’s Box (Week of February 21st – 27th) your delivery would arrive between February 17th and 19th. Signature Chefs Box: Your Signature Chefs Box will be delivered on the date that you selected before starting your purchase. A La Carte Chefs Box: Please allow 3 Business Days for Delivery to your Home or Office.

No worries! If you are not home or away from the office when your Chefs Box is delivered, the transporter will leave the parcel at your door. If you live in an apartment or condo, and no one is home to sign for your Chefs Box, the transporter will leave the parcel at your door.

Yes! The Chefs Box ships our meal boxes in biodegradable isothermal containers that keep food fresh for 24-48 hours. During summer months, we add icepacks and frozen gel packs to maintain ideal temperatures. You can rest assured that your Chefs Box will arrive to your home or office fresh and ready to eat or store in the refrigerator.

You can modify the delivery date of your Chefs Box order, up to 72 hours before the previously selected delivery date. You can also cancel your order, within the same time frame. Unfortunately, within 72 hours of your delivery date, your Chefs Box order has already been picked and packed, and orders can no longer be cancelled. To cancel or make changes to your Chefs Box order, please contact our Customer Service Department at (514) 398-9718.

The delivery of your Chefs Box will match the date you selected when you purchase.

*** In this difficult period for everyone, it is sometimes impossible to anticipate in advance the delicate situations that could unfortunately shift the delivery of your or more day box, and that, out of our control. Nevertheless, we strive to implement everything and do our best with our teams to reassure you that your encouragement and support are important to us and we thank you for it. ***

Deliveries take place throughout the day between 8 am and 8 pm without being able to specify an exact time. You have the option to access the tracking of your package by clicking on the tracking number you will receive by email the day before the scheduled delivery day.

In case of adverse weather conditions or other events independent of our will, we will try to deliver your order, as soon as possible.

For orders of weekly boxes: you will receive your box just before the ordered week. Deliveries are on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the previous week and can go up to Monday. For example, if you order box # 7, from 16 to 20 October, the delivery can be on Thursday 12, Friday 13th, Saturday 14th or Monday 16.

For thematic box orders: you will receive your box according to the date you have selected when you purchase.

For all other à la carte orders: it will be necessary to provide a delivery time of 3 working days.

We use compostable isothermal boxes that they allow the conservation of our preparations under 24 hours to 48 hours.
In some cases, we add in supplement of Icepacks or gelling packs to stabilize temperatures.
Thus the preparations will remain in a cool environment until placing your preparations in the fridge at home.

In order to ensure the freshness of our products, we deliver throughout Quebec and select markets in Ontario (Greater Toronto & Ottawa Areas).

Delivery fees are typically $15 on all Chefs Box orders. In certain circumstances, delivery fees may be higher. For most of our Chefs Boxes, delivery fees are included. Some Limited Edition Chefs Boxes may require additional delivery fees.

Payment and taxes

No, we do not charge sales tax on our Chefs Box Gourmet Meals. However, certain purchases such as our Cook books do required that we charge Sales Tax.

Yes! Our website is 100% safe and secured. Our online payment system is managed by Stripe, one of the safest payment providers around. Additionally, Stripe stores all customer payment information on their encrypted servers, in compliance with strict security regulations.
